A couple of weeks ago, I got an SMS inviting me for an event in Timog. Wow, as in Timog in Quezon City. If you live in the south, Timog is far, far north. Haha! The text said that it is for a product launch and Ellen Adarna will be there. I asked right away if I can bring my husband with me. He's quite fond of the Adarna, you see. Who isn't?! I super like her pretty face, too! I also asked if I can bring with me Jeff's bestfriend, Jino, because you know... Haha!
So the four of us went on an 'out of town' trip -- me, Jeff, Jino, and Bea.

It's been five months since my maternity shoot. Taglet is now four-months-old and I am posting this just now. Because life happened and I wasn't able to write a lot. Haha!
Anyway, this was shot by my good friend and Taglet's ninang, Ria Bantugan of Graceworks Photography. Another friend, Mek Loo, did my amazing day make up.
Looking at these pictures, I never thought that I was that big. Like really, really big! My stomach was huuuuge! And my nose? Humungous! Why did I do this? Simple. I wanted to love my body while it is so big and full of stretch marks because I am carrying a wonderful gift inside me. I sometimes rub my belly and miss the big bulge that I carry around. But don't get me wrong, I love every single day spent with my son. This was shot in The Columns Legaspi Village where we stayed for a while during my pregnancy.
Anyway, here are some of the photos! If you want to get any of Ria or Mek's service, you can contact them through their pages.

This is long overdue. I planned to write about this, but I can't seem to find the words to describe how I felt that night. It was the scariest night of my life.
It was the 23rd of November and we were out for dinner with Jeff's family because it's my mother-in-law's birthday.Taglet was a bit cranky, but knowing that he's a baby and baby and cranky almost has the same meaning, we didn't mind. Taglet was crankier than the usual. I thought it was just another bout of colic or he's just having a growth spurt because all he wanted to do was nurse all day. He never wanted to let go of my boob. He feeds like he's always hungry.
We went home earlier that everyone else.Taglet was crying in the car, so I told Jeff I feel like there's something wrong with him, or maybe he's feeling sick. When we got home, I changed his clothes, we washed up, and did our routine baby talk/chismisan before going to bed. Taglet was smiling and laughing and making all sorts of adorable baby noise while we wait for Jeff to return from the bathroom. And that's when the horror happened..

I came from a very business oriented family. My parents taught us that having a business is better than working for someone else. But in today's standards, just knowing how to run a physical business is not enough. Social media is the way to go, and if you don't market your business online, you may be missing on a lot of things.
I am not OC. Well, I am just particular about some things being in order, but I am not OC about everything. But when it comes to my son's milk, I am very, very OC. You can't blame me or any mother out there for storing our milk in a very orderly manner.
Before I share how I store my breastmilk, let me first share with you this guideline from Medela.

My friend Sef, who's been helping and mentoring me on breastfeeding, told me one time to share my breastfeeding milestones on Breastfeeding Pinays. It is a Facebook group specially dedicated to breastfeeding moms. Seriously, if you are a breastfeeding mom, or a mixed feeding or pure formula feeding mom, you should join the group because you will really learn a lot. A strong support system is very important when you are breastfeeding.
I just lurk around that group. I don't post nor comment, I just read to learn. Whenever I have questions and milestones, I send Sef a message on Whatsapp. Finally, I decided to share my story.

It's been almost a month since I gave birth. Yes, the Taglet is here! After nine long months, our bundle of joy is finally here! Let me tell you the story of how I met him.
I have been cooking a lot since we moved to Makati. We figured it would be cheaper to cook rather than buy food all the time. This is one of the few recipes that I started cooking here. It's easy and doesn't take a lot of time to prepare. Jeff called it corned beef hash, so let's call it that. ;)

My friend Faye has been telling me about this new restaurant along Timog Avenue in Quezon City for a while now. But because we used to live in the south, Quezon City felt like a very, very far place. We moved to Makati last month and now QC doesn't seem too far anymore.

It's been two and a half months since our second wedding anniversary. I am just writing about this today because a lot of things happened to our family the past couple of months. Not to mention my pregnancy that causes so much laziness. It's mostly my laziness, I guess. Haha!
For our second anniversary, we decided that we will just go somewhere near because both Jeff and I are worried that traveling might not be very healthy for me and Taglet. He suggested we go to Stilts in Calatagan because he's been there for a company outing. I visited their website and the place looked nice, so I said yes.

I think I was, kaso hindi pa uso ang salitang 'friendzone' noon.
O diba, contrary to popular belief, pati kaming girls nafe-friendzone. Not to mention, kaming mga chix hahahahahahaha! Oh, please refer to the photos below to prove my claim. :P (Hindi pa uso ang selfie, madami na din akong selfies. LOL!)

Back when I was 22 years old, and maybe 22 pounds lighter. Hahaha!
It was a little after college graduation and I was just coming out of a bad breakup. I started hanging out with this guy in the office. It was friendly, until we would regularly exchange messages, he would call me, or drive me to my house. We would watch movies and eat out. He would sometimes bring food he said he prepared for me. So I thought, yeah, maybe we have something special.
Months passed and to my surprise, he suddenly and sort of announced that he has a girlfriend. Uhmm, so where does this put me? I'm like, WTF diba? Ano yun? Paasa much ganun?
I never really talked about this friendzoning incident. May time pa na pumunta sya sa bahay namin (after the whole girlfriend thing), tapos parang he wanted to talk about it. Pero dude diba? Wag nalang. Sira ba ulo mo?
So naisip ko, minsan kahit pala feeling mo over qualified ka, fine-friendzone ka pa din. Or baka kasi, may mas qualified. Never really harbored so much bad feelings about it, siguro konti lang. Mga a few months. Naka-move on naman ako agad. Ganyan naman tayong mga chix, hahaha!
Here I am, eight years later, telling the world that yes, I was once friendzoned. Pero what's good about it is, I think, I am still friends with this guy. Yung pagka-friendzone, it just makes you realize na hello, hindi kayo talo. Talagang hanggang friends lang.
PS. Jeff, if you read this, which I am very sure you will, wag mo na akong kulitin mamaya kung sino ang nang-friendzone sa akin. Kung hindi, gagawan ko ng sariling blog post ang lahat ng mga ex-girlfriend stories mo hahahahahahahaha!
Last night, my husband told me to write something about budget weddings. Apparently, he is kind of concern about the whole big and expensive wedding trend in the Philippines. You see, Jeff and I got married in 2012. We had about 230 guests and about 50 people who helped us make our wedding possible. To top it off, we (only) spent around P400k. Well, P400k is still a lot of money, but hey, at least it's not P1,000,000. Haha!
I know this isn't as interesting as it sounds. But believe me, to us pregnant women, high sugar levels in the blood or gestational diabetes is a big deal.
The other day, my mother called me to ask about the picture I posted when Jeff and I went to Calatagan for our anniversary trip. She's pertaining to my bikini photo while showing my baby bump.
Jeff and I coined the name Taglet for our kids last year when we were praying for a baby this year. Actually, I coined that term of endearment and he was the supporting cast haha! He joked that if the baby is a boy, we'll call him Taglet and if it's a girl, then it's Taglette.
This post is long overdue. As in, almost a month ko na dapat ito na-post. Haha!
Jeff and I broke our iPhones' cables after using it for just six months. Just six months. My iPad 2's cable is still working perfectly and it's already two years old. So he recently bought a Capdase cable with plug for Php 1,500.00. The original cable (no plug) sells for Php 1,090.00 at the Apple store so buying the Capdase one is a steal.
